Pangi, Tandag, Surigao del Sur

The restoration site is situated at Sitio Lubcon, Barangay Mabahin, Municipality of Cortes, Surigao del Sur;  located at 126º08’09’’ longitude and 09º11’45’’ latitude; with an elevation of 780 feet above sea level. 

The area is part of the Ancestral Domain of Kahugpungan sa Tribong Mamanwa ug Manobo (KATRIMMA) IP community. The restoration area is located in the foot of Mount Diwata range.  The IP community of Barangay Pangi is the implementing partner for forest restoration.  

The restoration site has uneven terrain with moderate to very steep slopes (11.3 to 30 degrees). 

The site is accessible by all types of vehicles from the Municipality of Tandag, the capital town of the province of Surigao del Sur, to Barangay Pangi, for about 15 minutes and a trek to the restoration for about an hour.
